Summer's Concert

Tonight was Summer's Upper-grade Band Performance.
She played the steel drums and the violin. Her father
and I couldn't be more proud! She definitely has
skills with instruments!

She played this steel drum and the base
(which is a set of 5 upside down trash cans).
This is Summer's violin teacher, Jonathan
Levingston. We love him! A little too cute
for a violin teacher, right Summer!?! I never
knew 5th grade girls could be so interested
in violin! My moms friend Audrey has generously
loaned Summer a violin to play. Thanks, Audrey!
She'll have to play for you sometime!

Palm Springs!

If you ever wonder if Ty has fun on our many
family vacations, the answer is clear! Sunburned,
thirsty, and oh, so tired!!!
Little Miss Ellie was a good playmate for Ty.
Thanks for wearing him out for us, Ellie!
My sisters spent almost the whole
vacation in the kitchen attempting to
make Brad his special request
'Black Forest Cake', which you can see
required additional trips to the store
for more ingredients after being dropped
on the floor! Was it worth 24 hrs. of baking?

Yes! It was! Happy 29th Birthday,
Bradley Macbeth! We love you and
your difficult cake requests!

Trying to make some money!

OK, 2 things:

1. Jason was playing kick the can with his YM
last night and slipped on some water. He landed
right on his shoulder. He couldn't sleep last night
because of the pain, so he went to the hospital
this morning. Broken collar bone!
Way to go, you old man!!!
2. I have officially started selling my
t-shirts and onesies on Etsy.com.
I also launched a website. Feel free
to check it out and spend lots of money!
J/K! It's been a ton of fun for me!

Grandpa's Funeral

What a fitting tribute for such a
wonderful man. Grandpa Blaine
was a WWII veteran, so he had
the most beautiful graveside salute!
He had the American Flag draped
over his casket, and the buggler played
his final song for grandpa.
Sydney was Grandpa's little 'angel' and I know
he enjoyed her duet with her cousin Zane.
They sang 'Families Can Be Together Forever'
perfectly. All the other great-granchildren
joined in for the chorus. It was really special.
We will miss you, Grandpa!

Goodbye Grandpa Blaine!

I wish I could play a fun April Fools Prank
today, but Grandpa had bigger plans at
2:30 this morning. He decided it was time
to go live with his wife, again. He always
had a fun sense of humor, so I guess
he picked a good day. pictures with my mom & uncle
Grandpa Blaine was a hero to all of his children,
grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. We
all had wonderful relationships with him
in our own ways. He truly made each one
of us feel loved and special. The last time I
spoke with him, he told me how much he loves
me and how proud he was. What wonderful
words he blessed me with. He will be missed
so much, but I know his reunion with Grandma
made it all worth it. And to think, Grandma has
her mind in working order again! I sure do love
the two of them! I was one lucky grand-daughter!
