Girls Camp 2013

In all my years of girls camp planning and  carrying out plans, I have never encountered so many hiccups. I was called as Assistant Stake Camp Director this year and it was a bumpy road. My boss (the Stake Camp Director) suffered a miscarriage the week before camp. :(  She took some much deserved ME time and the other assistant and I took the ball and tried to run with it. Mother Nature had another idea. On our second day at camp, the heavens opened and we were drenched. Tents flooded, one girl got hypothermia, and we decided to head home the next day (3 days early). All the work and prep...down the drain. It was still a great experience, even if short. Tonight (3 days later), we had our skit night. Our ward had the best skit, BY FAR!  Summer (with our help) made all the props and it was a huge success. I look forward to Girls Camp next year in California...where the weather should be a lot better. :)
