Camping...Stewart Style

Better late than never.

Here are our camping photos:

We camped near this lake and

all Ty wanted to do was fish!

We caught some, but they

were tiny!

Summer cast once and caught this

little guy.  Ty was a bit jealous.  :)

My little boy is quite the outdoorsman.

He could sit there for hours!

He should make Uncle Earnest proud.

My favorite part of camping is the

feel-free-to-goof-off part.

Well, my girls didn't disappoint!

No campfires allowed?

Oh well!  We'll make s'mores

our own way then. 

It was beautiful, fun, and full of

memories.  Just ask the girls what

happened when they were washing our

dishes in the river.  Ahhh, memories!  :)

In her eyes...

Yellowstone is even better when

you can see it through the

eyes of a child!

We entered wonderland, AKA Yellowstone,

to find a plethora of buffalo (bison).

We visited a waterfall.

A coon skin cap was purchased

(for Summer, even though Ty stole it).

And many a memory were made!

Next summer, Brad and my Dad

will have to make the trek, too!

The buffalo will be waiting!

We had visitors. Wonderful ones, at that! My mom, my sister Becky, and my nieces Libby and Lexi came to hang out in Montana for a few days. We enjoyed good food, good places, and a thousand buffalo. Libby said she saw a pink little moose, but we all missed it. :) It was a blast!

First Days of School

Summer got an extra day of summer. She started 10th grade today, while Ty started 2nd grade yesterday. Sydney is in the junior high in 7th grade. Man, they are growing up too fast!!!

Where have we been???

Well, I've always said my kids are fish. :) Might as well have them coached properly. We have spent all of our spare time and money at the pool with their coach Brittney. They are doing really well. Summer is preparing for the high school swim team this winter. Should make for some cold 6am practices. Burrrr! They are all excelling in different areas. Ty rocks at starts, Summer's strength is in her arms and legs, where Sydney is killing the turns. It's fun to watch!

Cabela's craziness

If you live in Montana, you must shop at Cabela's. Well, we finally ventured in to get some fishing poles. We're headed out camping on Wednesday and we want to be prepared. It's a wild place. :)

Father and Sons Campout

Jason and Ty got to go up near Red Lodge for the annual Father and Son Campout. Kyle brought his 3 boys and all of his fishing gear. Ty was in heaven. He caught 2 fish and even kissed one (just like Summer does). Weirdos. :)

FHE at the shooting range

The kids were a bit jealous

of our date night at the shooting

range.  The Wassmers took pitty

on them and invited us to join their

family there for Family Home Evening.

We were a big group.  Even

Grant (their 4 year old)

got in on the action.

Summer loved it. 

Thank goodness for ear plugs and

headphones.  It gets LOUD!
