Well, our week has come to an end. :( Some of the highlights:
Jason found a cool mitten shaped piece of coral
The tsunami didn't kill us
The food was great
The views were amazing
I won a $100 American Express Gift Card
I'm sitting in the Denver Airport (3rd flight), ready to see my kids, but also wanting to go back...with them, of course.

Swim meet #1!
Summer is busy with her school play, so the little kids swam in their first swim meet without her. Ty took 1st place in breaststroke, 3rd in another while Syd got 1st in a relay and 3rd in freestyle. They are incredible. So sad I couldn't be there, but Hawaii is a good excuse to miss it. :) Their private coach Brittney held their hands, and thank goodness for her!

Maui Day One
Perfection. Our resort has penguins, flamingos, and swans. It's a beautiful place. We enjoyed the pool, the underground water slides, the grottos, and the beach. So far, so good!

2 soccer stars!
Sydney had her first boy/girl team.
It's always an interesting dynamic.
I'm not a fan, but who
cares what I think. :)
Ty had a good time. As you can tell
by the picture, his
coach was very serious.
It was Ty's first time getting a 'football'
type
coach. At first he wasn't a fan,
but he grew to love it.

Another first
When you have toddlers, you keep track of things like:
First tooth
First steps
First bike
Well, now we have reached a totally different part of life. Summer had her first flat tire. Luckily, she had one of her best friends, Sam in the car and he changed the tire for her. Another first out of the way.

I have to vent!
When we moved to Montana, we said goodbye to our good coverage in Arizona and selected what is considered 'catastrophic coverage' here in Montana. Basically, we pay $581 a month with a HUGE deductible, knowing we will pay out of pocket for any visits. Our two visits this year:
1. I had strep ($330 we paid 100% of, nothing came from our insurance)
2. Ty had an e.r. visit when he was unable to breathe (remember this photo). :( $1600 where we paid every cent....again nothing from insurance.
Why am I upset? Today, we got a letter explaining that due to our claims made, they are upping our payment to $863.18 a month!!! What!?! So, if you make your payments, pay your providers on time and what is owed, you have to pay your insurance company $200 more A MONTH!?!
Oh, please get Mitt in the Oval Office. Now!!!

My amazing birthday present
I just realized I forgot to share this on my blog. My good friend Jeanelle is an artist. When I was in Paris, I picked up this ink sketch of the Eiffel Tower. I asked Jeanelle if she could add some watercolors to it and boy, did she ever. BEST GIFT EVER! She even framed it for me. What a great birthday surprise!

Weekend at home
Soccer was cancelled due to the amount of snow on the fields. Yes, you read that right. Snow! Already?!? NOOOO! Anyway, we hit the mall for a bit, but conference is on this weekend, so we busted out the puzzles from the Macbeths and are having some lazy fun. I cannot believe President Monson's announcement that Ty can serve a mission at 18 and the girls at 19. It just makes it seem so close. Glad I can spend this quality time with all 3 of them now. Make every moment count!!!

2 in 2
Yesterday, Ty lost his top tooth. Today, he pulled out his other one. Summer told him that Pops came to her soccer game when she was toothless and he kept yelling, 'Get the ball, Jack!' Well, I guess we'll be cheering for Jack tomorrow at his game. Our very own jack-o-lantern!

Brilliant!
I guess I'm having an off day. :) I was helping in Ty's class and felt a little off kilter. One leg shorter than the other, perhaps? Nope. Just dumb. :)
