Our Practice Meal...

Since we will be in Vegas for Thanksgiving...we decided we better get our stomachs
prepared for Marie's delicious turkey dinner!
We enjoyed a delicious 14 lb. turkey,
mashed potatoes, stuffing, corn, pumpkin
pie, and even Martinelli's Sparkling Cider.
I think we did a good job of getting our
stomachs stretched out and ready for
Thursday. Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Honor Roll!

My girls rock! Summer has made honor roll every
year and this was Sydney's first chance to make it!
I am so proud of those girls...they didn't get it from
me or Jason!!! Maybe their Aunt's rubbed off on them!
I wasn't able to make it to the assembly, so luckily
Liz was able to snap a few photos of Sydney and Liza
with their certificates. Thanks, Liz! Way to go girls!!!Liza and Sydney

Let's Go Fly a Kite!

We were lucky enough to get
to go to Southern California for
our Veteran's Day vacation and
spend some time with my parents
and Becky & Brad. It was a very
relaxing weekend...tide pools, kite
flying, movies, and great food!

The kids love this kite they got from
Randy & Cheryl. It was a great day
for kite flying! I love the weather there!

Now, this is a warning.....don't scroll down
and look at the picture if you are a coyote lover!



On the ride home, Jason hit a coyote on a desolate
desert road. He wanted to pull over to check the car
to see if there was any damage. I imagined a huge
dent when I saw his reaction in the cars headlights.
Nope, not the car that was damaged!!!

Poor coyote! He had a bunch of broken
bones and we imagine he died on impact.
Jason got the fun job of pulling him out
of the cars front grill. Made for a cool picture, though.
I never even got out of the car! Sydney and Jason
were the only brave ones that night! How sad!!!

My Heroes!

I have had many heroes in my life,
but 2 have always shined more than
the others! My Grandpa Blaine was
one of them! He passed away this year,
so I want to honor him this Veteran's Day!All three of my kids (his great-grandkids)
had amazing relationships with him. I am
so grateful for that. I love the above picture
because it shows Ty and his great-grandpa sharing
Grandpa's hat. They really loved each other
(although Sydney will proudly announce
that she was Grandpa's favorite).

At his funeral, there was a bugler and the
American Flag was draped over his casket. What a
wonderful sight to see for the man who so
bravely fought for our country in WWII.

In this picture, he is the handsome man in
uniform on the far left. He was so cute!

As for my second hero...
This handsome devil is my dad! He puts that
little twinkle in my eye! I love him with all my heart!
He proudly served this country in Vietnam and
takes politics very seriously! VERY SERIOUSLY!!!
I am proud of my 2 men that served this country
and I am even prouder to be their daughter and
granddaughter! Kiss a Vet this Veteran's Day...I will!

1. I consider myself the best driver in the world!

SERIOUSLY! I'm fast & fun behind the wheel!

2. I once fell off a chair lift in front of a cute boy that was
operating the lift....I later went back with a
British accent and pretended it was my twin sister.
Why would my twin have an accent and not me???
Lame, I think I was about 12 yrs. old.

3. I used to pinch my cousin Brittani in church
so her parents would let me take her outside.
She always cried when I did! Good girl!!!

4. I once killed a cat.....and a dog. Sad! I can't
even go into that!!! I promise both were accidents!

5. I still think that every time I look in the mirror
I will see the girl I once was at about 18.
It's always a huge disappointment
to find the real me!

6. I was married at 20.....way too young,
but well worth it! I love my guy!

7. I was voted 'Biggest Flirt' in high school!
Not too big of a surprise for
those that know me.

My hick of a husband broke his cap
off his front tooth and now he's
'fixin' to go fry me some chick'n'!

I wish we could say this was an awesome
Halloween costume, but oh, no! It's the
real deal! Summer, Sydney, and I insist
he is not allowed to go out in public until
he gets it fixed! Wish us luck!
